What would be the closest thing to an energy based The Last Word?

Title essentially.

The Last Word as a fan of Revoker is the bane of my existence People spam it while pressing W in mid range engagements as I back peddle and they can slam 4 shots into me before I can slam 3 into them.

Add to this the ability to pace your shots extending the range and it's clear why The Last Word is an energy snipers best friend

But what if you're a kinetic sniper? Do you not get a best friend? Are you forever slated to stick to either Sunshot, LH/NF, or Waking Vigil?

Will the sniper with TLW always be the more powerful in mid range engagements?
