Give her screentime to Tenten.
And some to shino.
Have her follow through with her assassination attempt, fight Sasuke (as brought up below, with a proper fight that shows her standing up to par with Sasuke), and actually stab the shit out of him when she rushes up behind him, establishing that she's moved on from her childish crush and values the lives of innocents more than her old friend. Sasuke can get rescued and healed by Tobi or something, just as long as Sakura's left there with a bloodstained kunai.
And then give her a few more well-animated solo fights and keep her useful and prominent in the final arcs. She deserves a back-to-back hero shot with Naruto, and the series in general needs more punchgirl energy.
And then don't have her get together with Sasuke. If everyone must have a romance in the end, pair her with Rock Lee or Ino or someone else she's actually on good terms with. It's fine if she forgives him once he atones, but there's no justification for them marrying except that they produce a cute kid.
I agree with the general sentiment here, but she shouldn't just stab him, she should have a fight with him.
Sasuke would still be handicapped by starting to lose his eyesight, but even showing Sakura fighting on par with rapidly-becoming-blind Sasuke would show how far she's come.

I think Sakura can improve by finally leveling her Shouoken into a full-fledged Shoryuken, and then perhaps have Ryu teach her Shinshoryuken. And that's how she'll beat her rival Karin.

I do get what you are saying but she was useful as a healer during the Pain fight and on the front lines during the war. And she did save Naruto in the war,too. And punched a god.
Win more fights, get more screentime.
All the problems Sasuke highlights in her character are minimized is she got a bunch of opportunities to win serious, important fights. It would showcase her actual importance and strength as a ninja. It would also show her inability to fight Sasuke as an exception, which might make their relationship more believable.
Have her weaponize inner sakura as a as a justu that can hit chakra and other things.
Man, Inner Sakura becoming a tangible thing she can make would also give her a kaiju form to match Naruto's and Sasuke's

I once read a part of an interview where Kishimoto said something along the lines of how he view Sakura, in terms of overall plot importance, as comparable to Kiba, which is kind of fucked up to me, because if you view the character as secondary, then why put them in primary positions in the first place? I honestly have this half-theory that Sakura only exists in the first place as an excuse to not put Naruto and Sasuke in a relationship.

Remove her stupid crush on Sasuke from day zero, then give her an actual personality that isn't girl that hits the MC, have her be more than a shitty Tsunade clone, her actually do shit in fights and in the future don't marry her off to the asshole that tried to kill her, have her marry someone better like Rock Lee. There, I just fixed her for you.
Just keep her development from late Part 1 and early Part 2 rolling forward while letting her do stuff. Because she has a very clearly defined arc that open over look where she gets sick of her own weakness and fights tooth and nap to improve, recognises that Naruto is a good, trustworthy person she should be kinder to and that she never wants to see her friends suffer and becomes a medic. Posttimeskip she's much warmer to Naruto and fits the niche of 'weak person king everything the can to catch up' with all the crazy gambles she takes against Sassori. That's a good character arc. Just keep rolling that forward and don't let her fall into the background until she tries to take care of Sasuke for Naruto's sake (which is a good moment in the overall context of her story but sherd been a bit player since the Sai arc that it hardly feels earned).
Have her go on her own adventures separate from everything else going on in the series. Makes some friends that change her ways.

I think a lot would be forgiven (or at least brushed over) if she displayed any level of competence in fighting throughout the series. She basically only has two fights where she does anything cool (vs Sasori and Ten Tails), both of which are in Shippuden, right at the beginning and right at the end. Even then, it's only enough to keep up with what everyone else is doing.
She's also the only character who basically has nothing unique about her moveset. Even Ino and Tenten have their own unique thing. Asuma's only thing is that he has cool knuckles, and that's still more interesting than anything Sakura has. Even when she does get her power up, at best she's just Tsunade no. 2.
Even then, she could have still worked as a jack-of-all-trades character. At the beginning of the show she's the one explaining how all of the chakra stuff works to the audience, so she could have been someone who was decent with all kinds of generic jutsu and had big utility, even if it was only outside of fights. Then when she does get her power up she would just be a really useful person to have around.
Grow out of her middle school crush.
Hell, stay single or be a single mom or something, make her existence not rely on Sasuke.
Tbf she might as well be a single mother.
Or the rest of the cast, for god sake, grow some fucking personality, she is the romantic interest in a story where the two guys cant care less about her
