Let us lock pokemon.
No mistake evolving, power up, extra move, or transfer.
Let us hand our phones to a friend without us having to worry about them making a mistake. (Simple pin or same as phone security)
Favorites would actually be favorites. I'm tired of crap pokemon filling up my favorites because I don't want to take the chance to delete them.

I’d just like to lock the extra move button. So much lost stardust from accidents. Should require a code or something. Not just a couple ill placed taps.
If you don’t save dust you can’t trade shinies when the opportunities present themselves. And since I need so many....
You don’t NEED shinies lol, they’re just a different skin that niantic uses to make people spend money

I would like that too. My 3 year old kid used all my stardust on powerup. Just a casual player doing research task and adv sync and bit active when there are event. Had like 300k stardust and shinoh stone gone too on low iv pokemon 😭

I agree, would be nice to have this! Also thought different colored stars would be great to identify specials, from 3 stars, IVs, etc. I too have so many as favourites for all reasons and now they are indistinguishable

Why? All it does is prevent you transferring them. There is no other function of “favourites”, you can’t even filter on them AFAIK so it literally doesn’t matter if you set a Rattata as a favourite.
You can sort by favorites and not favorites.
True, forgot about that. Though I don’t really have a use for favourites, I’ll never think “I want to look at this specific subset of Pokemon”. I just type in the name or type or +name for the family.

I would love to see this feature. I have a couple of pvp-ready Pokémon and who knows, maybe I eventually misclick and power it up. Or accidentally evolve a shiny or my starter from day 1.
This has to happen. I remember when i showed my PoGo to my friends big brother and then he transferred my Snorlax the best pokemon i had so far it was like 2600+ cp happened in 2016. But thanks to the Snorlax event i got a better Snorlax. Edit: he thought it was funny
In the meantime use the nickname feature to organize. All of my 4* have 100 in their name and so on.
Be nice if you could search by containing character, like if I wanted to search by my specific trade symbol, even though it’s at the end of the name, that would be great.
I like this idea. My two-year-old accidentally transferred my only Alolan Exeggutor a couple of days ago. Now, I doubt I'll get another one. There's only one gym near me, and it seems to either spawn 1-star or 5-star raids.
Honest question, and I know this is going to sound unpleasant - how are you guys managing to transfer, accidentally power up, and/or mistakenly adding extra moves due to anything other than carelessness? Each one of these decisions (not sure about extra move, haven’t done it) requires confirmation/more than one tap to execute. So far, the scenarios I’ve seen mentioned could have easily been avoided if one wasn’t clicking like a madman, or letting your Pokémon’s fate rest in the hands of someone else (I have two little ones, “look, don’t touch” has been a valuable life lesson). I expect some incoming hate, but I had to ask, because this has never happened to myself or any of my PoGo friends because we actively pay attention before doing any of these things.
I've only taught a Tyrone a new move before. Tons of times where I've been grateful for the conformation. The X to get out of the pokemon is sometimes right over the extra move. Also on my phone sliding up on the left bottom corner goes back. So if I don't slide but accidentally press then it sometimes prompts the new charged move.
Just in the heat of the moment you can hit buttons by mistake. I think it's fairly common because I hear a lot of people complaining.
Ah, I can see how that could create issues. While still easy to avoid by scrolling up before hitting the “x”, I suppose it’s more tedious/time-consuming than it has to be. Side note - I’m now going to name my next tyrogue “Tyrone”.

Agreed. I’d also like it if they locked Field research. I pocket accepted field research because I had my phone in my pocket while watering plants. I could easily get around 2 Kms while watering plants
I have poor vision and know I accidentally transferred shineys cause they looked so similar. A lock would have prevented this.
How? The point of the lock is putting it on shinys you already know are shiny. That wouldn’t have helped if you couldn’t distinguish them apart.
Also transferring shinies asks if you’re sure you want to transfer the shiny, so it’s sorta on you
