hopefully simple mod question
Ive been trying to find out how to change the size of the fire vfx to encompass more than single cell. This to create the effect of a big fire instead of seperte cells on fire with no fire in between them. I tried messing with a few things but to no avail, nor have I been able to find a mod that does this.
Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how? assistance would be greatly appreciated

This is one of those ideas that may not be as well thought out as you think. Right now, fire requires a single VFX element for any size fire. It just fills however many hexes are necessary with the fire vfx and calls it a day. The game doesn't need to know or care how big the total fire is, or what shape it is. It just has to look at each individual tile and ask "Are you on fire? Yes/No." With your request you would need dozens or hundreds of custom elements for every fire, as well as the infrastructure for the game to track them. 1 hex fire? 1 element. 4 hex fire? A different element. 4 hex fire that turns? Yet another element. And if some of the hexes burn out? Yet more vfx elements.
Unfortunately this is a mod idea that is not simple, either in conception or execution. It's not currently supported and I just don't see it happening.
Thanks for your well written response, this seems a bit more involved than what I was thinking of.
All i'd need to attain my goal is an increase of the fire vfx size, purely visual. if the size of the vfx is increase by say 30% it will envelop (and slightly overlap) the tile instead of 90% of the tile. I've found BurningScaleY and BurningScaleX but these dont do anything when edited(and are mentioned as unmoddable in a readme somewhere).
