PLEASE READ THIS POST BEFORE ASKING FOR VALUES (New Rules for Value Posts)

Announcement

BEFORE making a post asking how much your Beanies are worth, please do the following:

  1. Separate your Beanies by copyright year: Look at your Beanies' tush tags (the looped tag) for the copyright date. If it says 1999 or earlier, proceed with Step 2 below. If it says 2000 or later, post a photo with those Beanies asking our members for a value opinion. I do not personally give value opinions on Beanies with copyright years after 1999, with a few exceptions, because they are not my area of expertise.
  2. Look to see if there is a yellow star on the front of your Beanies' hang (heart) tags: On Beanies with copyright year 1999 or earlier, if they do NOT have a yellow star on the front of their hang (heart) tag, make a post with a photo asking for a value appraisal. This means your Beanie has a 3rd generation or earlier hang tag and is probably worth a good amount of money.

If your Beanie DOES have a yellow star on the front of the hang tag, ONLY ASK FOR ITS VALUE IF IT IS ONE OF THE BEANIES LISTED BELOW (if your Beanie is NOT on the list below and it DOES have a yellow star on its hang tag, then it is a common Beanie worth only $5 or less*):

  • #1 Bear
  • Billionaire bear
  • Bongo (with brown tail instead of beige)
  • Britannia (with patch flag instead of embroidered flag)
  • Bumble
  • Chocolate (with "rnoose" in poem instead of “moose” or "Chocholate" on tush tag instead of "Chocolate")
  • Garcia
  • Inch (with felt antenna instead of yarn)
  • Libearty (with "Summer Olympics" printed in tag instead of just “Summer”)
  • Lucky (with 21 spots instead of 11)
  • Magic (with hot pink stitching on wings instead of light pink)
  • Maple (with “Pride” name on tush tag instead of “Maple”)
  • Peace
  • Princess
  • Sly (with brown belly instead of white belly)
  • Smoochy (with string mouth instead of felt mouth)
  • Snort (with "Tabasco" name in poem instead of “Snort”)
  • Spinner (with "Creepy" name on tush tag instead of “Spinner”)
  • Tank (without shell instead of with)
  • Tuck

*There are some rare exceptions to the above rules (for instance, if the Beanie has a Canadian tush tag, is made in Indonesia or Korea, has a factory oddity, or is a prototype), but for practicality's sake, we will have to follow this method because it's simply impossible for me to keep up with questions and value appraisals for common Beanies.

The following Beanies with yellow stars on their tags would be what I call "uncommon commons" - they are not rare, yet they aren't your run-of-the-mill $5-or-less commons. If you have one of these Beanies with a yellow star on the tag, no need to ask for its value - but know that it can (rarely) sell for upwards of $10:

  • Bubbles
  • Chops
  • Coral
  • Digger (red)
  • Flash
  • Flip
  • Grunt
  • Kiwi
  • Lefty
  • Magic
  • Manny
  • Radar
  • Righty
  • Seamore
  • Sparky
  • Splash
  • Sting
  • Tabasco
  • Tank (with shell)
  • Tusk

If your Beanie has no hang (heart) tag at all - then you can ask for a value if the Beanie’s name is NOT printed on the tush tag. This will indicate an early generation tush tag, likely meaning your Beanie still has some value.

Please feel free to ask for values for any: Beanie Buddy, Ty Classic plush, Attic Treasure, or any other vintage Ty product. NO Beanie Boos, Flippables, and Mini Boos (we cannot allow these three in the sub, at the risk that they would take over due to their popularity).

Values are NOT given for McDonald's Teenie Beanies - they are only worth $1-2 each unless there is an extreme factory oddity like a missing flag on a bear that's supposed to have one, or if the Teenie is a prototype or an employees-only release.

Value posts that do not follow these rules will unfortunately have to be rejected, and you will be welcomed to re-post following the guidelines.
