Latte - Can you add heavy cream with almond milk and froth to thicken the consistency?

Help

Hi,
Quick question, I have had a good search around but can only find homemade recipes for almond milk.

I am just getting started with Keto and to my surprise, I actually don't mind the taste of almond milk in my coffee. The only thing I feel I am missing is the consistency or thickness of my coffee in the morning (I know I can't expect to have everything the same, but hoping for a few hacks to get close to some meals and almond milk is quite watery)

I was wondering if it is possible, to use almond milk to my latte as I have been but then add a portion of heaving cream before frothing it with the coffee machine? Would this work, have no effect or actually split if I tried it?

I have seen a lot of recipes with coffee such as including butter and cream (I am not quite that game just yet!) so was hoping this could help me get that fix without changing too much.

Thank you.

Why not try it out? Sure it would be fine.

Strangely enough, I just ran out of cream (and live rurally arhh) But I will try it out later today, I just thought I would see if anyone had tried something similar while I was dreaming of that creamy coffee fix!

I've used either heavy whipping cream and almond milk & heat/froth it with my mini Aerolatte battery operated frother.

I've also added some melted coconut oil or melted butter.

I've tried the Califia Farms creamers - both the almond milk and the almond/coconut blend - and they both needed a bit of an oomph, in my opinion.

I do this every morning. Works fine.

If you are ok with coconut, try Califia Farms coconut milk "go coconuts" it has yellow on the packaging. They sell it at Target, Publix, The Fresh Market, probably lots of other stores too. It gets really frothy and lush just from shaking the container so it makes a nice latte.

Ahh ok, I had not tried coconut in a coffee yet, it is generally more of a prominent taste. I do like coconut however I am just unsure if it would be overpowering?

The coconut flavor is there but not pronounced. If you hate coconut I am sure it would be intolerable since that's how it always seems to work, but I like coconut and can barely detect the flavor. It's nowhere near as coconutty as canned coconut milk, the taste is much more neutral and the thickness more similar to real milk than any other milk replacement I have tried.

I do that with my smoothies. They need some cream fat as an emulsifier.

Thanks for the answers everyone.
I gave it a go and it was a very nice improvement actually!
