Being an Eminem fan impacted my lifestyle.
The way I act. I take less bullshit. It's the way he tears people down in diss tracks with just his honest perspective, and does it in an interesting way that keeps you listening.
Quit a job once because of a supervisor with little man syndrome (plus I was the supervisor at my previous position so he felt threatened and treated me like ass). I was livid on my way home, and diss tracks make for good angry music. I kept the mood going til I got home, kept that formula in mind, and wrote a letter to a hot shot in the industry with a few eggs in the basket tearing down and exposing that supervisor. Hot shot replied, agreed with everything I said, said he hoped I came back to the company in a different capacity, said he regretted not getting to know me better while I was there, and asked to get coffee for a more thorough debrief.
