I only understand one word in this picture, and it just confuses me more.

Kangaroo!!!

Kangaroo!!!
The only other word I understand is "Malaysia", haha. It could be referring to a 'kangaroo court'?
Last I heard the original aboriginal meaning of kangaroo was "I don't know"
Urban Myth, sadly.
The Guugu Yimithirr people (the folks who met Captain Cook when he stopped for repairs in Queensland after running aground on the Great Barrier Reef), had a word gangurru referring to a particular species of black kangaroo. It was it this time that the term was first recorded.

Cool! Thanks!
"council speaker xadil" "APCO go unchecked" "elanji join APCO"

Why is it that when you want to frame an opponent in Malaysia, the go to crime is sodomy??? Over here it would get you a pat on the back.
Black tragedy of the Parliament of Malaysia
My best guess is it has something to do with this
The table looks like a giant pie, maybe it's a kangaroo pie party?
I'd say it looks more like a pizza! Kangaroo pizza!
I would hope you would understand "speaker", "kangaroo", and "malaysia"...
Fuck kangaroo, look at the guys face
Malaysia boleh lol... come on... this should be in World News
Does the top yellow board say, "Rule of Kangaroo" with a picture of a kangaroo? lolwhat?
Kangaroo means 'I don't know' in the Aboriginal language.
Malaysia Parliament''s Black Tragedy
Follow the guidance of APCO
The hall speaker is unfair.
Anwar Ibrahim is the guy that got framed for sodomy by the current main party in Malaysia: Barisan Nasional because he was/is considered a threat to them.
I've been to his talk and he sounded more convincing than the current PM =.= During the talk, he said his hotel reservation got canceled by the Imperial Hotel because the government cough probably cough blackmailed Imperial Mall to do that.
=/ I wish I don't get ISA-ed for typing this out.
Aaannddd, just incase someone is wondering what the hell 'getting ISA-ed' is, ISA stands for the Internal Security Act, which allows police and military personnel to indefinitely hold someone as long as they can prove it is to 'maintain stability'.
The Patriot Act is nothing in comparison. Malaysians already live in a country where exports are monitored, communications are government controlled(we have an internet filter AND newspaper censors), and wiretaps are only limited by the budgets of the police department. Kangaroo courts and ridiculous bribes are pretty common.
If I remember correctly, edit: as per zaim's comment below, I have reworded this to be more diplomatic the current(or was that previous?) Prime Minister was allegedly involved in some rather high profile murders(see my response below) but that is another story for some other time.
Beautiful country, as long as you avoid the politics....
Malaysia..Boleh?
ಠ_ಠ
Reddit boleh.
Oh, sorry. I stand corrected - Reddit Boleh
Thanks for the explanations, Lol.
Oh and you can bribe your way out for anything as long as you dare to take the risk in Malaysia.
Please, let's not be tabloid schmucks here. It's not as clear cut as you make it sound. But then again,
:)
I admit I just heard that from a malaysian who knows a malaysian who knows someone who lives/works in Malaysia. However, considering the news is well documented and the debate is rather more widespread than just the tabloids, I never doubted the veracity of the claim.
Just for the sake of argument, why is this considered a widely held belief rather than some weird tabloid story? Here are several wide ranging links:

Oh look, heres a link from the blog of Anwar Ibrahim, which from my random googling seems to be the opposition voice of malaysia:
Some choice quotes from that blog post:
I am not saying this is indisputable proof, but then again we are talking about a man who would be Prime Minister here, and certainly his blog would be a source of at least moderately verifiable information, wouldn't it?
My "tabloid schmuck" comment was prompted by your previously simplistic wording of the case (now edited). If I'm not mistaken, you directly implicated Najib as the one who ordered the "strapping of a bomb" on the murder victim.
I just thought that without any context, people reading this for the first time might find it to be a very surreal "WTF" situation. But with context, as you've provided in your links above (thanks :)), people can see that it is mostly speculative.
As a foreigner living in Malaysia, I better start deleting my internet history.
