Why do we not have a bot?
A bot like u/theParanoidAndroid for r/scp. We say a comic number like 1843 and the bot brings up xkcd.com/1843. A sub for a comic like xkcd must have some programmers.

At lease I believe Reddit's (python) regex is greedy by default

I think it was Reddit-wide, like those wiki bots. I feel like I remember seeing it in other subs.

edit: Huh, the top voted post of it is response to one of my own top comments. And significantly higher than the second place. Guess I should be proud of it.

Looking at it's latest posts, it was basically referencing the hyphen ass comic constantly because it was in the signature of a bot that looked for occurrences of the joke to make the pun (/u/auto-xkcd37). Maybe it broke or was disabled because of that.

Or typing with our normal hands to produce the input for the TTS engine and playing that into the voice recognition keyboard on our phones because we humans use the voice recognition keyboards quite often.

Hey guys! After seeing this post I decided to start working on a bot. So far it is quite functional with only a few small features left to implement, namely blacklisting users at their request.
Right now the bot has no karma and will get rate-limited very quickly. I would really appreciate if you could help me by smashing the like button on either this comment or the main post.

The URI is easy to type out and it wouldn't be worth it. If the bot could search, however, that would be another story
