cough cough...

lay-off is such an ugly term, strategic re-alignment is a more corporate PC term.

The source quotes not only SemiAccurate though;

However, sources indicate the planned cuts do not appear to be widespread. Industry news sites SemiAccurate and AnandTech have each reported on the changes in the data center group and accompanying job cuts.

Charlie Demerjian may be known for being some notorious cry-baby, though he's often not only semi-accurate but entirely accurate and just pointing out naked facts (and that's why he often faces so much blind hate and is often wished to be banned as a source as a whole, like especially here on /r/intel; since he's saying the ugly truth).

Anyway, he again called it months in advance. Ian Cutress backed it up – and Ian wouldn't've, if Charlie would've been entirely wrong.

You realize credible sources dont require introductions like this right? Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

No wonder half that article is jerking itself off for getting it right.

Because Charlie both gets way more accurate than not and because frankly he breaks more big stories on the industry than anyone else comes close to pretending he's a broken clock who once in a blue moon happens to be right is utterly stupid.

A broken clock requires something predictable to be right just twice a day. I would like to think the world is a little more interesting.
