Sorry about the grainy photo, tough to get a shot where the bug wouldn't look tiny in the photo.

That's a German Roach. Is it in your house?

Yes, unfortunately. I am moving out of this place hopefully pretty soon (apartment building). I have only seen a few of them so far (maybe 3 tops), but worry because apparently they breed fast.

They do. Check behind your refrigerator, behind your stove, and in your cabinets for signs of roaches. This can be egg sacks (they kind of look like a roach's butt) or peppering, which is fecal matter.

Peppering literally looks like pepper. It can be found in cabinet corners and hinges. Don't be afraid to stick your head in the cabinet and look up as well. They like to hang out there.

Do the same in the bathrooms too. It can help pinpoint where they are hanging out.

They can be coming over from a neighbor as well, but if you are proactive about it you can reduce their population.

I did pest control for about a year and did a lot of work with roaches, so tell me what you see.

Thanks for the tips. I looked everywhere I could think (kitchen cabinets, the sides/under the fridge and stove, sink cabinets, my bedroom and living room closets, and a few other places). I also have a fireplace so I checked around there. I found a wasp corpse and got that out of there, but there was nothing else.

No signs of poop like your picture. Possible they just hitchhiked for now? I have only noticed about 2-3 of them total, but that was over a period of about a week so I started to get a bit worried.

Sorry for the late response. But yeah, the could have come over from a neighbor. Unfortunately it's really hard to keep some pests out if you share a wall with someone who has them.

Just keep an eye out and if you start to see more and you feel like you need to self treat. Use the syringe baits and those little bait stations that stick walls.

For syringe baits I like this bait a lot. And you can kind of pick whatever bait station want, just make sure you stick them in corners near the peppering and egg sacks. Roaches like tight spaces and normally don't go to far from them.
