Hello, can someone help me with a server hosting issue?
A couple of friends and I were gaming on a rented server for a month and then took a bit of a forceful break. The matter is that each time after you connect to the server there is a period that the server needs to adjust itself, even though you've connected succesfully. Stuff like holes in the ground not rendering properly and teleporting a bit back and forth. That wasn't much of a problem as it usually lasted under a minute but at one time it just stopped and it wouldn't normalize even after extended periods of time. One of my friends tried to fix it but he was unsuccesfull and lost the will to make it work. I am posting here because I have no idea what is going on, as our collective server hosting experience is rather limited and we don't know what might be affecting this. I am attaching a picture of the problem, it is me standing inside a mountainside base looking at the exit, so you can see how the game renders textures on the outside but insides are all transparent.

I have been told that I might've been burried but I think that is not the issue here as I can freely enter and exit the cave *THROUGH* the texture that appears where once was a cave entrance. Also I cannot drill new holes on the planet, I can use left click and it will drop ore, but there will be no land voxel deformation, and I can now pass through the texture as if I had indeed mined it.

I have tried the official keen discord, and I have posted on the support website, but I would like to have this resolved soon as we want to decide our next course of action, and do not want to waste server rent. Someone mentioned that this is some old bug that happens when a planet(or asteroid) file gets corrupted so the game makes another one without replacing the old, meaning now there are 2 overlaping earths. He has also said that there was a fix for that but can't remember, and I have tried Google-ing all sorts of related issues but with no success.

Please help! I'm counting on this fantastic community! :)

I'm pretty sure the server still "remembers" the voxel changes, but for some reason your client thinks the voxels have been reset. No idea how you would fix that, but it looks like that to me. It's like the server isn't sending voxel updates to the clients.

Someone did mention that the server migh have created double voxel files and that that is the source of the conflict.

However I have no where near the technical know how to deal with that, and neither do my buddies.

Those should be the .vx2 files in your save. Locate those and delete one of the duplicates if there are any? (Make a backup first)

Thanks, will do as soon as I get to pc

I haven't found any duplicates, the search for the root of the problem continues...

Pretty sure, it happens to my friends when they log in into the server.

It also doesn't explain how am I able to walk around with a drill, drill the rock, ore drops, but no hole is rendered, and I can pass through the undamaged texture.

same thing, 4 servers with two different host, exact same thing happens again and again. did you ever come up with a fix?

I tweaked the voxel regeneration settings as to force all or almost all voxels to regenrate and somehow that fixed it.

Try to set it like 100m off grids and players so you heal a lot of voxels.

I am not familiar with those settings can you give me a little more detail please?
