$13 billion dollars in 2019.
Earnings: Excluding certain items, $1.52 per share, vs. $1.25 per share as expected by analysts, according to Refinitiv.
Revenue: $20.21 billion, vs. $19.23 billion as expected by analysts, according to Refinitiv.
To be honest, I'm more interested to see when Apple will start getting serious with putting ARM (RISC) chips in their Macs instead of Intel's shit.
AMD will definitely keep eating up market share in mobile and desktop as well..
What a time to be alive.
Aapl definitely the best in the biz at stealing ip
Good for $MU. Finally getting to $90.
So sad to see $MU forgotten in this sub nowadays. We used to shill and meme the shit out of that stock
And the moment wsb stopped talking about MU it appreciates all the way to $90
Mu calls free money, but what else is new
There goes my 1/24 $62/$63 call credit spread. One of my earnings picks had to fail.
Not a bad play, really. At least you only did a $1 wide and not something autistic like $10 wide. I guess it really depends on how many spreads you sold
I only had one thankfully. I had success in 5 other spreads (KMB, VFC, LUV, 2xTXN) and my IBM stuff is still up in the air. One is $2 and the other is $3 OTM so fingers crossed.
Good luck breh 👌
What matters is the delta spread, not the price spread. You can have very profitable $10 spreads so long as the deltas of the long side by way of ratio overwhelm the short side (2:1 is most common).
You’ve been reading to many posts on here about “amd owning intel”
Hardly. When I entered into it there was an 85% chance of profitability with an +$18 EV. I knew going in there was a 15% chance of it going sideways and sadly this time it did.
Better than being naked
Debit Straddle gang feeling fine.
It's just financial engineering by what the CEO is best at, Finance. Look at the products to see who will win. AMD with it's 64 core monster or Intel who can only get 52 cores and has 80% of the performance and 4 times the cost?
intel and amd have no competitors for PC market
I kept telling people to buy it on here ....
I bought 1/31 $64 puts. I think I’m cucked unless this miraculously shits the bed tomorrow.
After market already $67+
I know 😭
I know I sold a day early
i gambled and held on ... wasnt disappointed ))
Yeah I rolled up to 5 or 6 different strike prices as the stock kept going up this week.... I am fucked. That’s what I get for being a fucking intel bear actually believing supply shortages and layoffs would be a bad thing
Track big money instead. 6 million dollars worth of june 70cs were bought around lunch time by 3 different traders, so I bought calls.
Where do you look that up? (besides here)

Save money now and short their Q3/Q4 ER.

zero chart weakness. why do that?
I still got $45 puts for late November... basically down like 80% so at this point might as well just hold till expiration
you lost with them big time. INTC is only gonna go up at this point
I was about to buy Intel calls and I didn't for the risk and now I want to kill myself
It happens man, there's all the time in the world and new trades every day. INTC is still a good long term hold even though WSB is fully balls deep in AMD.

Hope it holds, fell asleep and didn't sell my 63 calls I was only planning on day trading, might work out lol
Now the question is, is this good for AMD?
Before earnings yes, after earnings not so much.
I guess we'll see. Could be one of those rising tides lifts all boats kind of things, but it could also mean that AMD's heat isn't as strong as anticipated.
Mostly opposite. Before earnings no, it's not good that your competitor is performing well you autist. After earnings it might be good for AMD iff their performance is better also
Not that simple. It indicates the industry is strong, demand is strong, and can bring up the entire sector.
it can indicate that but only if AMD overperforms also like I said.
“Amd is eating intel’s lunch” - clueless amd fan boys
Just stealing some fries at the moment, but the trend is obvious, with Intel GM down significantly.
Never mind 2% forecast revenue growth, after capex expansion to boost output by 25%, while DC TAM projected to expand 6.6%. Madness to think all is well with those numbers.
You need to read between the lines here. Intel said that data center deals helped bolster this better than expected quarter... If Intel is landing data center deals, then AMD must not be. If I remember correctly, AMD was banking on making a big impact in the data center space again.
This is going to change big time and AMD is gearing up for it HARD. But it's going to take a while and the ride might not be pleasant. Also barring any sort of internal fuckup at AMD in the meantime
On the earnings call they said their projections are for a front loaded first half of 2020, and that competition will eat into their profits in the second half. Considering they're losing in price and performance to AMD now, and have been for a minute, I find that a little unusual. Notably I think they said they're not even able to compete in 7nm until the end of 2021. That is a long ass time from now.
Narrator: It isn't.
most likely YES - need a few more days but AMD looks to be setting up amazingly well for earnings
AMD has a huge PE ratio .. Intel was 14, AMD is over 200 ... AMD is way overpriced
