Therapeutic Benefit and NLP

For the purpose of research and otherwise.

I'm square af to avoid a little controversy and focus on a sense of rationality while recognizing the necessity for grace under fire and the value of silence depending on circumstances.

However. I noticed a ton of trip reports and other "how-to" commentary and "whoa dude I'm like so high" I'm curious to see if anyone here uses substances for therapeutic purpose and healing, mind expansion beyond what might be considered hoaky enlightenment theory "whoa I have a hand and I literally am the couch right now," and combines entheogenic substance with metaprogramming or NLP instead focusing on building intelligence, expanding consciousness towards observation, reconstruction of self and environment? If so please drop a comment. I'd be curious to see how you've worked with it and what therapies you've benefited from.

I've only just begun this about a week or so ago, so take it with a grain of salt, but I'm currently microdosing ald-52, approx 10-30ug per dose. I started out taking it every other day, but quickly stretched it to every 2 days, due to aftereffects such as headache and irritability accumulating. I can safely say that while under the effects, I am much more aware of how I feel, and of my environment, and as a result can react or act upon such circumstances with more tactfulness towards my desire to improve myself, or root out unhelpful thought patterns. I haven't picked up any solid practices yet, but am finding myself more open to trying and exploring them.

Off days aren't bad either, I can still maintain a fair state of awareness for some time, without feeling too much of the typical aftereffects of the substance.

Any other side effects? Such as memory or cognition defect? Awareness and observation you seem to note are improved in your experience but I'm curious if you've experienced other downsides besides irritability. I say awareness and observation as they seem to go hand in hand with tact... which would also include a state of balance. Ald-52 derivative (correction: analog) of LSD? Micro gives a state of balance and tact? I haven't had any experience with LS in many years. I imagine it would provide a state of euphoria as well.

Have you attempted meditation under this influence?

Normally, I'm prone to depressive episodes in my sober state, so I think I can maintain better cognition and memory effects overall, in comparison. Not to mention, it is emotionally uplifting as well. Not entirely on the way of euphoria, but higher doses are known to produce that effect.

The only downside I can really make out is that taking it too often can result in, as I mentioned, mental exhaustion/depressive/negative emotional states, and while under the influence, personally, I've experienced some light jitters and mental stimulation. Though I doubt this would be experienced for everyone, and even less so for doses under 20ug.

I've not practiced any sitting/traditional meditation, but with an enhanced sense of awareness I have found myself being more mindful of any sounds, sights, and sensations around or within me.

Research the lightning process!

Do you mean Lightning Process? I looked up Lighting and that was the first thing that came up... skimming it for five seconds I really didn't like it. I'm more interested in subversive or alternative approaches than feel good yes man. But I may not have given it a proper glance. What's your understanding?

Yes I did mean that, apologies. Five seconds! Subversive/alternative? Arguably it is both these things though it would certainly appear at first glance not necessarily to be so. It is informed, but not exclusively, by NLP. It has a hypnotic aspect to it too. And osteopathy as well. Both the latter might fall into an alternative sense. Nevertheless what I can say is that it has excellent success rates and by no means only for fatigue syndromes. You could actually apply it to any aspect of your life where you feel ‘stuck‘. Given the proprietary nature of the course, the process etc I am cautious about being to explicit. It is not cheap for a start but it provides you with really useful thinking about how and why we do what we do and practical steps for rewiring, so to speak, ones thinking in order to effect a rebalancing of the subconscious/autonomic behaviours of the body. It uses language and movement in order to effect this. It is informed heavily by understandings about placebo research for a start and then how the words we use literally activate our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The gist being that fatigue syndromes and other auto immune disorders are where the body kind of gets itself into a negative feedback loop. So inspite of there being no or no longer a demonstrable ‘illness‘ (I caught a bad virus and after three weeks the symptoms were gone but the post viral fatigue set in) the body keeps acting as if it needs to defend against something. So using the process aims to ‘talk‘ the body back into its natural state of balance.

Phil Parker and his team have Podcasts where much of the research and thinking is discussed. They were incredibly supportive for the few days in London that i attend. You do this after listening to the audiobook that constitutes the first part of the course. You can do this before paying for the face to face aspect. I highly recommend listening to the audio book, I did several times. It is very thought provoking.

Im not sure what else to say without being anymore explicit than I have whilst not breaking the law so to speak. If you have the beans then go for it. You having nothing to loose and everything to gain. It helped me and continues to.

Good luck and follow a path with heart...

No. This definitely doesn't suit my interest but thank you for the suggestion.

I think to be fair I never really read your original comment properly. What are you trying to achieve?

Checking to see if anyone uses substances for shamanic or therapeutics rather than only tripping. Curious.
