Help! Whirlpool WRS576FIDW01 SXS Icemaker Doesn't work - Broken wires in door hinge

Hello everyone,

My ice maker stopped working and I'm scoured the internet looking for info on the parts and repair I have a Whirlpool SxS circa 2015, model WRS576FIDW01. It looks like this: https://i.sears.com/s/i/spin/image/spin_prod_1033974512?wid=250&hei=250

Anyway, I've found some broken wires in the in the hinge of the freezer door. I can't seem to find the part number I need to order to replace the harness or any instructions for getting the harness out of the freezer door. If anyone has a service bulletin or the like that describes the procedure and/or parts needed, I'd be grateful. I've been through several websites and none of the parts with pictures look like what I need. Unfortunately, only about 1/3 of the parts have pictures.

This is the closest thing to an answer I've found: It describes the problem and is how I found the broken wires, but doesn't mention the part numbers or repair procedure.

The parts schematic does not list a harness being a part you can order. You probably have to replace the entire door. I would just look into repairing the damaged wires.

All the service bulletins in regards to ice issues for that model (there are 3) 2 are issues with the ice maker assembly itself the 3rd is just a settings in the control panel being turned off.

The door part number is: W10691238

Thank you for taking the time to reply. If I can't buy that harness, I'll just repair the wire.

22LT is correct, you cannot order the in-door wiring. Only comes with the entire door, it's usually foamed inside the door and attached to the tube heater assembly (to prevent freezing). Best bet is patching the connector if you have enough wire left to do so.
