I thought for sure that with the Theros Constructed event launching today there would be five different card styles as the 5 rewards. I guess I'm just "spoiled" from remembering how it used to be. I dont mind the lack of free events, but some better incentives for the paid ones would be nice.

We don’t know what this set’s fun events are yet. Usually like a series of events spanning a few weeks
Eldraine Constructed didn't have style rewards either. Unless i'm misremembering, for this event slot, only GRN/RNA/WAR "Block" Constructed included styles thus far.
There will all but definitely be events granting the THB showcase alt art styles and the Nyx basic lands announced next week (along with whatever changes they are making to Ranked Draft)
Eldraine had all the Festival of the Fae, they gave out like 20 styles from the story book art.
The Eldraine Constructed event started on October 18th.
The Festival of the Fae events were announced 6 days later on October 24th, and the first of them (Artisan) started on November 3rd.
Based on that schedule, we can expect the Theros cosmetic rewarding events to be announced either later this week or possibly next monday/the 10th. (Most likely this week based on forum posts by WotC employees)
Little early yet, I suspect the nyx lands will come in that fashion.
Exactly what I thought when the event was pay to see if you can win cosmetics.
At the same time it was a little odd to get a random Ixalan uncommon + a couple more uncommons after getting 2 wins.
I think I won 450 gold also, but I'm wondering if 3 wins just gets you your gold back + 3 random uncommons.
Details don't specify rarities, sets, or formats. Don't think the 5-mana 3/3 Pirate that makes treasure for 4 mana is going to get my amped about Historic.
The Nyx lands have yet to be offered in an event, the constellation alts for the gods and demigods are also in the pipeline. I'm sure they'll want custom sounds and animations for all of them, though I doubt we'll be waiting long for them to release in some kind of event.
Those sound great. I would have been happy with something as simple as one uncommon card style per color.
Wizards is closely monitoring what events are popular. Trust me OP, they know that as long as card styles are involved, people will go out of their way to enter them even if they dont have much gold.
People are concerned about events with 10.000 gold entry. Me? I am concerned about when Wizards will use their internal knowledge to make these events more expensive.
It should be inevitable right? Where there is demand, the price goes up. And Wizards is known for their consumer friendly practises.
Let's just say I wont be surprised if we get card style events every week or their entry fee goes up. Any event that gives card styles is dangerously popular and Wizards has our address :)
I'm almost certain that we will get special card styles from events again - these events have always happened later in the release cycle not shortly after release, for example Eldraine released Sep 26, but the Festival of the Fae didn't start until Nov 3. And they already have great card styles prepared, e.g. the Nyx lands or the god/demigod constellation cards.
