I own snakes and I feel ashamed for not realizing this joke until now.
I don't get it :(
I think it's just that snakes wouldn't care as much about lyrics as they do about the actual music because of the way they hear.
Seems more like a joke about stereotypical 'snake charming music' being instrumentals.
It's not an explanation though, humans also hear through vibrations and the snake would hear the vibrations of the voice just like we would.
Yeah, still no clue what's going on.
