The most embarrassing moment I’ve ever had. Marked as NSFW just in case.

I’ll try to keep this short and simple. This mentions poop so if you’re sensitive to that kind of stuff you should probably stop reading. I was in the hospital for two weeks after a really bad wreck. I was on really strong painkillers and was getting those painkillers every four hours. Opiate painkillers(I was on morphine and dilaudid) will make you constipated and make the poop rock hard. I had been trying to poop for about 7 or 8 days when I finally thought I was about to succeed. I’m sitting on the bedside toilet doing everything I could to get it to come out. I’m straining, pushing, rocking back and fourth. I was making progress and the poop was finally at the opening of my butthole when I ran into an issue. I didn’t have to poop anymore and I couldn’t get it to come out either. I couldn’t just stop there because it was literally at the opening of my butthole and wouldn’t come out. Of course, with my luck, at that moment my nurse came in to give me my dose of pain medicine. Me being my normal anxious self kinda freaks out and I tell her what was going on. I don’t know why I told her since I could’ve just asked her to come back later since I was using the bathroom but anxiety makes you do stupid stuff. She tells me to not worry because she sees it all the time. She starts putting gloves on and that’s when I really started freaking out. I asked her what was she going to do. With the straightest face I’ve ever seen she tells me that she’s going to manually get it out. Basically, she was going to go digging for my poop to help me get it out. That’s when I had to stop her. I told her I was comfortable enough letting her do that because it’s an embarrassing situation to begin with and I have issues with my body anyway. She ungloves and tells me that it’s ok and I can try again later. Later comes and I still haven’t gotten it out. I’m getting super uncomfortable and the only solution was to get that poop out. The nurse told me she could do it and that I didn’t need to be embarrassed because she sees it all the time. Thankfully she gave me the option of doing it instead of her. So it had to be the nurse or me. I’m growing more and more uncomfortable and a realize that I’m actually going to have to do this. I get the nurse to leave the room and I put gloves on. I feel around and, yup, I was right. The poop is literally right at my butthole. I can feel it and it’s hard. Really hard. So I start pushing it from side to side to wiggle it loose. It starts coming out and it’s so hard and dry that when it hits the bedpan(in the bedside toilet) it sounds like someone is dropping a rock onto a wood floor. I got what I could get out that was right at the opening and I wasn’t feeling much better. So I had to dig deeper...literally. I have my pointer finger up my butt and I’m digging and pulling it out and my mom is just in the corner laughing at me every time a poop ball would hit the bedpan. After about 20 minutes I had gotten it all out and felt much better physically but I had definitely lost all my dignity. I will never forget that unfortunately 😂
