I'd love to see people master "please" and "thank you" before progressing onto the tougher SAT words, but that's just me

I didn’t realize that was a word in English...which is my first language. In Spanish, inútil is the word for useless, which I’ve gathered is also the definition of inutile in English
I'd imagine this one is borrowed from French. Same word, same meaning, and a lot of older English vocabulary is pretty much taken directly from French.
That makes sense actually, I was just very surprised at first.

Mayhap - Archaic. Some have added an "S" in more modern times, means - perhaps or perchance. Can be used in place of perhaps.
It does seem like Authors have been using "Mayhap" more, or I am just noticing it more.
I like words that have stated to disappear from use. Like Twattling - to partake in idle gossip way too much.
but in some cases, their isn't much use for the words - such as "pizzle" meaning to beat someone with a dried bull penis.
Twattling just sounds like a baby twat that hatches from an egg.
