There is no information I'm sorry to say. The engine is still new to the market and looks forward towards the future with dual injection, electric cam phasing on the intake side, electric thermostat and water pump, ultra light weight oil, and resin cam covers, and some other nifty features I'm forgetting. Sure it's not radical like SkyActiv-X, but it is still pretty exotic imo.
Honestly? I don't think we're beta testers here, and any serious catastrophic issues would have shown themselves by now. Dual injection has been around for more than a few years by now, and the engine doesn't use forced induction which can't hurt long term prospects. Maybe there's a bit of bias from me since I own a new Corolla hatch which runs the MKS variant, but I bough this car specifically with long term ownership in mind. It played a part in my skipping over Honda.
TBH, I'm kinda jealous you have the 2.0 M20A engine as an option with the hybrid, and I wouldn't lose any sleep over buying it. I can't see Toyota being lazy with their next generation engines and bungling up the design, and their reputation for actually building stuff is solid to say in the least.
