Wikipedia

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a video game for the Atari 2600, based on the film of the same name, released in March 1983 Wizard Video Games. The game was designed and programmed by VSS, a software development company started by Ed Salvo and several other ex-Games by Apollo programmers.

As one of the first horror-themed video games, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre caused controversy when it was released because of the violent nature of the video game and sold poorly; many stores refused to carry it. Wizard's other commercial release, Halloween, was also not well-received.

The player takes on the role of the movie's chainsaw-wielding villain, Leatherface, and attempts to murder trespassers while avoiding obstacles such as fences, wheelchairs, and cow skulls. The player controls the murderer with the objective to chase and kill victims. Each victim slain gives the player 1,000 points. The player receives additional fuel at every 5,000 points (5 victims). A life is lost when the player's chainsaw runs out of gasoline. Gameplay ends when the last tank of gas is consumed.

Wow, what's this, 3 guest characters, and not in the Nerd Room? Count me in!

Can try to non-biased, but come on, this episode just has high production value all over it. Stuff like this would never get made today. Also judging that most Cinemassacre viewers doesn't seem to care for movies, doubt they would get the jokes either.

This was a great episode, and proved that James really did have the talent to make an effective short film with production value and some good acting. I remember at the time it was what convinced me any feature film he'd do would just be amazing.

Boy was I wrong.

We were all wrong, including James.

A personal favorite of mine. I’m a sucker for the Halloween episodes...most of them anyway. The Texas Chainsaw sketches got me laughing the first time and the way he delivers the jokes just feels natural. Also it’s actually shot on location instead of a green screen so it evens out.

I remember the dumbest shit. I still remember the first time I watched this in high school as a freshman, I put the video on my iPod Classic and would watch the 2007 Halloween episodes before school started.

I wonder if he was friends with Steven J. Klaszky or if he was a friend of his parents growing up. He was also in "The Deader the Better" a previous "film" James made in 2005. That is the only way I could see him getting a guy in his mid 50s to be in one of his "films" and an AVGN episode.

he went all out for this episode. the passion is night and day between then and now
