West Coast Ping Never Under 80ms?

Question

Hey my peeps,

I live in the SF Bay Area with gigabit internet (Comcast) and I cannot get into any games with less than a 80ms ping EVER. I check every single game and it is 80-100ms every single time. I’ve never had this issue before in any other CoD game.

Does anyone else have this issue on the west coast? I wonder if it’s a west coast server issue. Maybe SBMM is being prioritized over good connection (insanity)? Idk man but it really sucks because it is super noticeable in this game.

I am hard wired with a cat7 cable into an Orbi mesh system.

That's probably more you, bud. I live in the Bay as well and my ping never goes above 40 or so unless I play with friends and they're the host and I've got Xfinity wifi.

I can’t tell you for sure that your ping isn’t an issue on activision’s side, but I can tell you that I also live in SF, sunset district to be exact. I am also using Comcast, not sure which data plan, but I get around 20-30 pings, with occasional packet loss.

Same, inner sunset, PC. Usually like 30ms

I would kill for those pings. Damn lol. Idk what I am doing wrong.

I'm central and my pings are 30-42, 50-69, 80-110. I ping google servers at 14ms. Under 30ms in any other game.

Open ports so matchmaking will find nearer players/servers
