Fun fact: all plane turrets fire from a single point in the middle of the turret.

I do believe it gave you that impression because you are moving. Edit:Well indeed,my whole life was a lie.
Nope, not at all lol. Why not just test it yourself instead of trying to correct OP?
It's due to laziness in modeling. Instead of placing the "spawn point" for the bullets directly in front of the barrel, for each gun, it's much easier and faster to just place it in the middle of the turret.
Unfortunately, it just ends up looking cheap and showing that details aren't important to the dev.
No, you can test it with any plane that has multiple guns in one turret.

LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE
Pretty understandable from a game programming perspective. It's likely a "drag and drop" entity made to be as quick to put in as possible. It's such a small detail that they most likely thought most sane people wouldn't even think to look for it in the first place-
Uh...have you seen the Tiger's mantlet model? The rivet counting is real.
That would be correct, except for the fact that this is a game attempting to be a "simulator", at least in certain game modes. Unfortunately, it does make a difference to aiming and shot placement, especially if you've played real simulators like IL-2 or Steel Armor.
Hell, imagine playing a game like CoD or Siege where the bullets just came out of your face instead of the end of the gun barrel lol. It's really silly and kinda lazy, considering developers even 15 years ago knew this wouldn't cut it for a "realistic" game, let alone a simulator.
I think it does, about the bullet come out of your face.
I'm not entirely sure it is CS, BF, COD or seige, one of them has the game model such that the bullet comes out of the player eyes.
I think it’s the older cods
As long as they are invisible bullets (no tracer or smoke trail) it doesn't really matter.
We talking about the same thing?
That is not true. Try BV238 where turrets are spread across large distance and there its clear that each tracer comes from each own turret.
It’s own turret.
Not individual guns.
You should see a British tail gunner the rounds come outta nowhere to the side of the guns.
