How do I make the 'canvas' size smaller?

Help

Extra space has appeared above wallpaper

Hi guys, I've only recently got Wallpaper engine and whilst I Was working on it, for some reason it has added space above my wallpaper? Can't remember when this occurred exactly, but now when I apply my wallpaper, this grey added part is also shown.

I've tried searching this sub and google for a solution but haven't had any luck. Apologies if this is a re-post. Any help is much appreciated :)

Thanks in advance.

You can change the resolution of the project (canvas size) in edit -> project settings.

It means the resolution of your wallpaper isn't correct.

What are the dimensions of your image? Usually you want to have a 1920x1080 or a 4096x2160 size.

I'm not entirely sure what the dimensions are. It's been fine for this whole time that I've been working on it, it was only when I worked on it today I think i may have changed a setting (though I'm not sure which one). Is there a way I can change the resolution or screen/canvas size?

Thanks for your reply :)

Most operating systems allow you to resize an image without a problem.

Though if it's new, you might have changed the view ratio within Wallpaper Engine.

Try going to the editor: View -> Preview Aspect Ratio -> Free

Edit: forgot to ask, try and find the image on your computer, right-click it, go to Details and find the dimensions. Could you post them if you find them? ^^

Dimensions are 2560 x 1089 :)I already tried the preview aspect ratio and its'' 'free' but I still see the extra space up top :(

Thanks again :)

Your wallpaper is wayyy wider than it's high.

Wallpaper Engine automatically adjusts the lack of height (or width for that matter) by adding in empty space.

You have the height of a 1920x1080 wallpaper, but the width is 25% larger, so it has to compensate by increasing the height as well to keep the ratio.

But instead of stretching the wallpaper, it's added empty space. Not much you can do about it I'm afraid. Or at the very least, there's nothing that I know of that can remove it.
