King crimson fans swearing that wake, beat and Tcol are good albums because they have the KC name attached to them.

Oh great here we go again trashing TCOL because you just can't handle how good it is.

Yeah that oyster soup kitchen song, a real tear jerker. Holds a light to epitaph and Starless for sure.

But maybe songs can be good without being masterpeices

It's better than Epitaph for sure, leave aside the lyrics for a moment and focus on the actual music I find Oyster Soup to be a way more interesting song than Epitaph. Plus I find the lyrics more entertaining too, who gives a shit if it doesn't make me shed a tear.

Not gonna argue against Starless though that song really is a masterpiece.

Wake is just Court II, but I don't see any problems with that.

Beat is good album. But heartbeat is a bad song.

I mean honestly it is pretty good I even like the 10 minute minimalist section but to insist that every song off of ITCOTCK is a masterpiece is a bit absurd imo.

I have it on good information that Mayor Pete's favorite prog band is Styx.

Bloomberg: Marillion seems dead on, but he strikes me as more of a reel-to-reel guy
