Yeah, I think maybe the DP-cable is damaged. It works fine with HDMI. I would have liked to test another DP-cable, but I didn't have any, as I've never used DP before.

I did return it though, just because I don't want any problems later on if something happens. The box had some marks that indicated it had gone through some tough handling.

I'm getting a replacement next week. Looking forward to it. I loved the size. I used it for a few hours only and now my 27" feels very tiny.

Is it a freesync monitor?

I just got the 49in Samsung and mine did the same thing. I had to turn the freesync setting from overdrive to standard and it came on normal. From there I can switch it back to overdrive if I want to but anytime the monitor wakes up by the pc with overdrive it does that.

I have three preset button on my monitor I set one with the freesync setting to standard and the 2nd to overdrive. If my monitor comes up like that I hit the 1st present and it fixes it.

Yes, it's a FreeSync monitor. Model: Lenovo G34w-10.

Good to know, thanks. I'll try that if the new one acts the same way. Sounds annoying though, to do that at least once every day.

yeah that looks like a bad cable or not pushed in all the way/loose.

Definitely pushed in all the way. Hopefully just a bad cable. I'll get my replacement this week.

I'm currently thinking about buying the G34W but cant find any reviews on it. May i ask what made you choose this model over the other 2k 144hz Ultrawide models?

I had the same problem. No reviews at all.

I decided between this one and the AOC CU34G2X because I wanted a 34" ultrawide in that price range. I didn't want to spend any more money. The two monitors seemed to be very similar. Higher nits on this one and better ports on the AOC one.

The reason I went with this one in the end was that I got a slightly better price, and from a place where I can return it if I'm not happy within the first 50 days.

Hi I was thinking of getting this monitor just wanted to check does it have height / swivel tilt adjustment on the stand?

I didn't install the stand when I got my replacement, but you can adjust the height and to the sides to a degree I don't remember.
