Visiting from Austin, looking to do some camping

I imagine ya'll get a lot of these, but I'm visiting in a little over a month and looking for a little help. I'll be in town for about a week and in addition to whatever suggestions you all might have I'd like to do some camping. Where would you suggest? If Big Sur, any particular place/site/trails?
