Upgrade simulation game?

Looking for something like Cookie Clicker in terms of upgrades, grinding, and replay-ability, maybe mixed with simulation, or even deck building.

I've got 2 weeks of work and almost nothing to do during this time so a game I can run on these kinda shitty computers where I can upgrade stuff to invest into upgrading more stuff. I can't be clicking like mad and using my keyboard like I'm dodging a flailing machete carrier tho.

Check out NGU Idle, it's easily the best idle game out there and is great for low end machines.

What makes it better than, say, Kittens, Idling to Rule The Gods, or Trimps?

Progress in Kittens was too slow for me. Idling to Rule the Gods is actually very similar and probably even more in-depth and complicated than NGU, but I felt like it was a bit too much for an idle game. Trimps is really good but I always bounce off of it after a month or two. IMO it requires being too active to progress.

NGU Idle on the other hand always has something to do if I'm looking for it or is perfectly fine just idling while I do something else. IMO you gain a good amount of progress while idle without it being too OP.

kittensgame is a good idle game although it gets pretty slow at times also has a subreddit.
