Right there with you. Yes, most of us understand that and if we have a mild form, we STILL NEED TO KNOW so that we can keep other people safe.

JFC, it's not salsa! If I transfer a MILD form to some one else, their bodies reaction could be Killer HOT salsa.

The same analogy could be used. Mild salsa to one person could be hot salsa to someone else even though it’s the same salsa.

Absolutely. Maybe we should use this when explaining to people who are having difficulty grasping the concern?

yet they wont close the scools unless there is a positive case at that school.

... this is going to get worse before it gets ... well worse

It’s not a good thing! I’m so pissed. One of the parents at my preschool said she’s not that worried because “kids don’t get it as bad” Sure lady your healthy 4 year old might be ok, but you realize some of us teachers have grandparents doing child care for us while we watch your kid? We could take it home to our parents and that could kill them. We have so many grandparents do pickups at the school and so many of our kids have baby siblings that I’m just blown away by some people’s self centered ness. Mild cases are transmission points to vulnerable people. The more cases there are the higher the risk for the young, elderly, and immunocompromised. Ugh I’m not even panicking anymore, I’m just pissed.

We should all act like responsible adults and treat ourselves and our interactions with others as if we have it and don't want to give it to them...or vice versa.

Do not touch your face and wash your hands, alot.

Cough and sneeze into your elbow or tissue.

Don't shake hands, bump elbows.

Ahhhh seriously! I made my nephew sanitize his hands yesterday, and immediately after he wiped his snotty nose on his hands and got in my car! My car is now in quarantine.

Don't shake hands, bump elbows.

I saw my doctor about a totally unrelated thing yesterday, and he elbow bumped me instead of shaking my hand.

They don't seem to care about the people who are most vulnerable to the virus. They just want the statistics to look good.

Hopefully it doesn't have any lingering effects....

Sure and the number of those infections are exponentially increasing while public health inexplicably continues its completely reactive wait-and-see approach.

There is a lot of editorialization happening in this thread. Please move this discussion to the daily discussion thread for today.

While we want to let everyone express their opinion, we also want to keep a level of civility in the subreddit, especially in top level posts.

Thanks!
