Right now, I’m working out and working on getting my skin saved for a museum. One day, my skin might be hanging somewhere in formaldehyde.

Great interview, thanks for sharing. Portland is definitely a great place to live with ink.

Yeah, the article's a bit old but I enjoyed it. Interestingly, the article mentions his bad teeth, and today on the bus I saw he has all gold (or something blingy) teeth now.

He should be introduced to Lydia. Oh, Lydia, that encyclo-pydia. Lydia the tattooed lady...

Reminds me of The Fisher King. But yeah it's a Groucho thing.

I really didn't expect anyone to get it.

I've seen him and had the same first impression as many on the street. (He must be an attention whore!)

How wrong I was...

That he lives with a birth defect and pain is icing that we should NEVER just a book by its cover.

Thanks for the story. I generally avoid WW (hate their site layout.)

Umm - he's the epitome of an attention whore. I and many people live with disabilities. Disabilities that are visible as we walk down the street.

This guy's disabilities weren't enough so he decided to go tattoo apeshit.

Ask his old boss in New Orleans if he was an attention whore...I mean really, WW, did you do any vetting of his back story or did this just pass as art and newsworthy because Portland wants to live up to it's borrowed moniker: Stay Weird (Just Like Austin...)

I still can't believe he injected ink into his eyes.

How interesting! Ive been curious about him for years. Used to see him frequently walking, presumably to/from work now that I know where he works, when I lived on St. Clair.

He's crossed the line into San Francisco territory.

at least he can blame being unemployable on being in Portland

edit

he has an illness that causes underdeveloped muscles? I have that too, it's called sitting around all day

He's employed.

Unemployable isn't an appropriate word here...
