Is it better to get corona virus now or later? Things that make you go hmmmm.

My friend and I were having a debate. I'm theorizing that it may actually be better to get the virus now (we're in Canada) than later because the hospitals currently have capacity for severe cases and then, if you survive, which is more likely with hospital care, you'd be more or less immune.

He argues it would be better to try and avoid getting it in the first place and that it might die down and be avoided all together. But, my counter argument is that unless you live in a rural areas and fully self sufficient for a year or more, you'd eventually have to interact with the community and risk getting infected anyhow. Considering how quickly and easily it spreads, perhaps it's inevitable and everyone is going to be infected because everyone will eventually return to work. As such, it's just a matter of when and not if.

My take is that even if China, for example, beats it now with quarantines, as soon as the quarantines are lifted, all it will take is one person in a city for it to go pandemic again.

What are you're views?

I'm not totally sure and I could be wrong here but I'd try to avoid it at all cost, try to stave it off until as late as I could for if the virus undergoes several mutations until it's no longer as lethal.

You either want to be one of the first people to get COVID-19 while ventilators are still available. The peak of the epidemic will be the worst time to get the disease. Otherwise, the best option is to delay getting COVID-19 as long as possible, or never to get it at all.

No. You won't. You'll be compromised.

Yes.

You don't understand. This is not SARS or a flu. It is recurrent, like herpes or HIV. The second time it gets you(after you are "cured"), is when it will snap you in half. It's a multi-stage bioweapon. You don't 'get over it'. To be more specific, they are finding 20% of cured spontaneously reinfect.

Don’t we have documented cases from the diamond P - where they got sick again later and died after “recovering?”

Yes you are correct it is is the same family as herpes. Other viruses in this family stay in your system - Once you have it you always do and once your immune system goes down you can get it again and be contagious. Odds are Covid-19 will be the same

Also, Chinese are reporting that this gets in the spinal fluid. Passes the blood/brain barrier along through the brain stem and spinal cord. It's just a giant shit show.

I have read that as well. But what does that really mean? What can we deduct from that? What are common impacts on the body from viruses that do that?

What that means is that the blood stream isn't the only place it's hiding. It means the treatment is going to be a real PITA.
