Thanks so much. We have shot about 1/3 of the course. Mixed in one or two 12’s and a few 8’s with the 10’s so far. Shooting with some pretty salty guys out here.

Entered bow novice and plan is to aim for the middle of the ten ring thirty times. If I catch a 12 it’s cause it’s a good miss, and if I catch an 8 or lower it’s cause it’s a bad miss ;-)

It’s my first archery competition and I’m pretty excited about it/looking forward to it. I’ve put in quite a bit of practice since I started shooting again (hadn’t picked up a bow in 6 years before that) this past November, right at 4 months ago, and I’m finally to a point where I feel enough in control of my shot that I’m comfortable taking the plunge.

I’ll be shooting 27 inch Gold Tip Velocity 400’s at 270 feet per second out of my Xccentric 6, Tru Ball Sear release, CBE front and back bar, and a CBE Engage sight, Gas strings, think that’s about it on the gear.

Cool, is it solely an IBO tournament?
