3.1 texture is so smooth

EDIT: 3.0. I made a typo in the title.

Just received my new order and tried the chocolate one. It no longer clumps, and I can make it thicker than before, and I'm loving it. The taste and the texture were perfect in the first shake. I hope this will not change.

Awesome job, guys!

There’s a 3.1?

My bad. I meant to write 3.0

I hate the new Chocolate. Miss 2.3 so much. When my outlet orders run out I'm not sure what I'm gonna do....

I love 3.0 as well. The texture is such a big improvement over the old, gritty ones.

I’ve only tried Huel Black but tbh if this is being praised for its smoothness I can’t imagine what the previous versions were like. Even using a vitamix blender there’s still discernible “bits” in the mix.

For anyone who hasn’t used a vitamix blender, it’s supposed to obliterate anything... anything other than the bits in Huel I’ve come to find out hahaha.

I’m returning v3. There are still clumps no matter how violently I shake it. It’s also thicker overall and difficult to drink. A massive downgrade from the previous version unless I got a bad batch.

How do you shake it?

Are you putting the water first?

Sorry, didn’t even see this. Yes, water first.

I’m new to Huel but I’ve been having a shake a day almost every day since this year started and I really like the Chocolate. I mix it with 15oz of water and a few ice cubes. I refrigerate it and mix a time or two more, and it takes on a perfect texture after a few hours. I understand the old formulas were different but I hope the folks who have been using it for a while can learn to love the new stuff.

Here we go again!

I just got some 3.0. My verdict: it's slightly less viscous than the previous version. Just slightly. It still takes about the same amount of water to make a given calorie-amount of powder drinkable. My #1 concern is being able to maximize the amount of calories (use the least water) in a 1.33 liter shaker bottle while getting a drinkable consistency. I've been able to get around 1,000 calories in this bottle with other powdered food. With Huel I can get around 700 or it becomes too lumpy, same as before. So I'm going back to Super Fuel.

Great post, thank you. I have the same problem. I want around 700-800 calories per powder meal but it demands fuck ton of water, like I need to mix it with around 1,4l of water. It's bonkers and if I put less water it so hard to drink. I use thermomix and blend it on max power for 1 minute :(

....HOW? What magic are you guys doing to it? You can't be just adding powder to water and shaking it... that doesnt work smoothly for me.

The magic is to make sure you don't accidentally compress the powder. Before you open the bag, just shake it to loosen the powder. When you take out the powder with your scoop, do it gently, so the powder stays loose. If you see clums before you put it into the shaker, break them apart.

After you put the water - powder - water layers into the shaker, close it, and shake it for about 20 seconds. That should be enough, provided you followed the above steps.
