Staying home and "doing nothing"?

Hi.

So, when doing some research on the internet about introverts, I encounter phrases that revolve around the idea of introverts preferring to stay at home and "do nothing". The phrasing bothers me a little, almost as if the writing were done in away to make it understandble to more extroverted counterparts. Yes, I do prefer staying at home, but what I do with my free time at home is not "nothing".

Of course, I've also encountered websites that say that introverts do like actually being idle- sitting and thinking. However, I have significant difficulty with simply sitting and sifting through my thoughts; I have a need to be constantly doing something. Of course, my thoughts will still go, they'll just flow a little better when I am moving and doing something.

Is my need to be doing something abnormal to introversion? Is the the interent not the place to go looking for information on introverts- can someone please suggest other resources or perhaps reliable sources from the internet? What is your perspective on the description of introverts staying at home and "doing nothing"?

Thank you.
