Got scratched by a raccoon and the docs making me wait 8 days to see it.

20 years old male 5’7 160 pounds smoke maybe a little less than a pack a day no meds. I was scratched on the hand by a raccoon this morning in my shed it doesnt look that bad real small cut the nurse said since it was small it probably wouldnt get infected just clean it. they said 8 days was the earliest i could see a doctor. is that too long or am i probably fine?
