Is it a bad idea to travel to the US because of COVID-19?

I’m visiting my dad this March break in Washington DC. I’m flying from Toronto into Dulles international with people from all around the world who are going to be there. I’m also concerned that while I’m there there’s gonna be a nationwide shutdown or something and won’t be able to leave. What do y’all think?
