Gyroscope on Android

Why isn't Gyroscope available on Android devices till now even through it's available on iOS?

I tried asking on the mobile subreddit but didn't get any responses whatsoever. I know mobile isn't the main focus of the devs but an estimate on when it would be made available would have been great.

I've played other shooters on mobile at a competitive level (placed 3rd in ESL) and I cannot the stress the importance of gyroscope enough. I have a PS4 but I'm far better on mobile and the only thing hampering my gameplay is the lack of gyroscope.
