Help needed to reunite with my overwatch squad.

So I'm originally from the UK, but have moved to Japan for work and long story short, I miss playing Overwatch at the weekends with my UK friends.

If I duo with a UK friend whilst in Japan one of us will have a regular latency of under 50m/s. The other will be 300+m/s. This is totally unplayable for the person with high latency and we are essentially throwing, so we don't play together. I am assuming this is because of the host server being in either Japan or the UK and the distance between them being too great (I'm no tech expert, so could be wrong).

I thought all hope was lost until the other day I was playing on a NA server, where my latency is a manageable 120-160m/s and a UK friend joined our group. He also was experiencing a latency of around 120-160m/s. Due to the server being an NA server it appears the latency was no longer an issue and we could play together!

So my question - Is there a way for me consistently and easily recreate this situation of playing on a NA server when neither of us are actually based in NA?

I would like to add I am playing on PS4 console.
