She's the one. We kinda fucked up. Need help.

Forgive me if I sound vague, I'm writing as I think and English isn't my first language. I need help in getting her back. I was dating this girl for 6 months last year and we kinda "broke up" because I was a little distant (I had issues and was inbetween jobs) and she thought I wasn't interested in her. Though I liked her so much, I didn't know how to show it to her. Our break up was a little vague and I felt that my distant being was the issue and I tried to change. And I did. We hung out and did things together even after our break up. Although we never explicitly spoke about it, I felt that our relationship didn't really break up and we were just on a break and we will do okay. All this while I was falling for her. A few months after we broke, her mother passed away, and it broke me to see her in that state. I was there throughout. Being with her all way. I opened up to her a few months after (near the end of last year) and I told her how I felt. She didn't know how to respond but she kept saying that she's scared and didn't know how this would turn out. I'll try to speak to her whenever I get time about making this work. And we did have some conversations on that. But she kept worrying on whether this will work out and whether this is a good idea. I kept assuring her all the way through. Fast forward to last week. She met up with a few friends and they had a conversation on What Does One Yearn In A Relationship. While IDK how that went and she denies that the conversation doesn't play a part, post that conversation, things kinda went weird with us. She spoke about how this relationship wouldn't work. And that she doesn't see me that way anymore. Now, I know that from the beginning, we didn't speak out properly (New age Introvert problems). And I do know that conversation is key and we need to talk it out to make things work. But IDK how to take this forward in the conversation. I wanna make this work but IDK how to go about with it. What to ask? What to do to win her back? I'd really appreciate some thoughts and advice on this. I have had bad relationships that made me a little insecure in the beginning. Over time, with her, I felt secure. I really think that she is the one for me and I really really want to work this out.
