How competitively viable is Warden now?

On release, Warden is shockingly bad, his gadget is way too situational and he got one of the worst sidearm machine pistol the smg-12 (although the mpx is somewhat decent for its high rof). But now, after repeated, albeit minor buff to his fancy glasses and addition of c4, is Warden viable in competitive gameplay?

Which sidearm do you run? The pistol or smg-12?
