How many train disruptions can Auckland have in a week?
Four, so far it seems in four days.
It's really starting to feel like the old days of a couple of years ago with diesel trains. Track faults, signal faults, train faults. Combined with some pretty shit off-peak frequencies + three-car trains during peak + no communication from AT staff, means a rather poor look all around.

March 9th (Monday): Vehicle accident on bridge near Ellerslie means all Onehunga Line services cancelled for two hours. Southern Line services severely disrupted with no stops at Newmarket, Greenlane, Remuera, Ellerslie, Penrose or Parnell.
March 9th (Monday): Track fault at Newmarket during peak hour means several cancelled and delayed services on the Southern and Western Lines, with speed restrictions in place until the next morning.
March 10th (Tuesday): Onehunga Line services effectively inoperable (trains running only between Penrose and Onehunga) during peak hour due to another track fault at Newmarket. Some Southern and Western Line services cancelled during peak — delays occurring to regular services until the next morning.
Today (Friday Thursday): All lines disrupted with delays and cancellations due to stuck freight train at Otahuhu Station.
Southern and Eastern Line services are still running on reduced frequencies, as I type this post. Trains packed at Britomart during peak an hour or so ago, when I decided to find a bus instead.
