Can't a big guy buy a shirt?

How Do I ?

I keep kicking this around in my head and can't find a way that I could make it work.

I'm a big guy, and have a number of ex college football player friends that are giants.

We go to the mall and don't even know why we set foot in stores. Today I went through American eagle, old navy, vans, zumiez, hurley to name a few.

The largest shirt I found was xxl.

You can find big and tall at places like kohl's, but if you want something than a plain color polo shirt or t shirt you're out of luck. I'm kind of a nerd. I go to hot topic and see band shirts or video game shirts, but if course not in xxxl or bigger.

There's a store dxl that specializes in big & tall, but it's really more of the plain pattern things and the t shirts I looked at were $40.

All the stores say that they carry bigger sizes on their website. With the variation in sizes, I won't order things because I can't try them on first. Some brands I'm xxxl some I'm xxxxl. I've even had to buy a 5x before because the sizes were so messed up.

That being said, I want a brick and mortar store that I could walk into and buy a "Stranger Things" or Hollywood Undead shirt for a reasonable price. I'm a cheap skate when it comes to shopping and would love to pay 20-30 for a cool shirt or actual stylish shirts that fit the current style trends.

I know there are tons of people out there like me. A lot of geeks, nerds are big and want their Harry Potter or Anime shirts. There's a market, but don't see a profitable way of executing a plan.

I've got no problem coming up with reasons that it won't work. Licensing, costs of having a lot of on hand inventory, finding a good location to name a few. You couldn't really expect much income from a website due to the fact that you can already order the stuff online. If for some reason it did get big, it wouldn't take anything for say, hot topic to start stocking larger sizes in their stores and you're done for.

Do I just need to suck it up, embrace tech and order stuff online? Or would there be any way to make it work?
