[TOMT][Book] Adult picture book where it shows a bunch of illustrations of what humans will look like hundreds, then thousands, then millions of years into evolution

It was super weird and has little descriptions of societies history within the context of that evolution. It had an real 80’s-90’s vibe and the illustrations reminded me of the film Fantastic Planet.

I thought it was called people after people, but that was incorrect so it might be something similar? I need to show this book to my friend!
