Starting a Salamander Army!!

Hi Guys, been lurking for awhile looking at all your awesome shit. I’ve got an ork army that I’m pretty happy with atm about 2k points and have been looking around to see what else I might start on when I discovered who the Salamander’s were!

And they’re so god damn cool! I know they rely more on meltas and flamers but as I’m fairly new having only started late last year and with no idea how to run space marines let alone one that goes with specific weaponry, I was wondering if you guys could give me a couple ideas of where to start? Which units to get first, if it’s worth getting any of the start collecting boxes or just separate stuff?

Thanks in advance for your help :)
