Spellslinger animate weapon anyone?

I barely played last two leagues due to work so my mechanics are rusty.

I was thinking of playing something like : 4L kinetic blast or the new kinetic bolt, and 5/6L AW+Spellslinger+multistrike+impale+melee phy+minion dmg or a ranged AW version with the jewel spirit guards. 2 spectres , carrion golem, animate guardian.

For the wand possibly Poen's Pen with movement skills in it to smoothen everything.

In my mind : I clear the first pack with a 4L wand Setup, I summon AW automatically while attacking and a travel skill is triggered onto the next pack with an army following me...

Thoughts?
