My leg day routine - feedback and suggestions?
Hi all!
I've been doing a 4 day upper lower split since late January and really happy with both upper body day routines, but really unsure and keep going back and forth on my lower day routines. I have now finally decided on the following for my 2 lower days and want to see if you guys think if these are good routines? I have a history of knee injuries and had an ACL reconstruction and multiple meniscus repairs (think I've damaged the meniscus again so will be seeing my surgeon on Monday) and trying to incorporate lots of unilateral work since my affected leg is weaker and also going easy on heavy BB squats to avoid hurting my knee, so subbed with heavy BB box squats instead:
Lower day A:
- Sumo Deadlift
- Hip Thrust
- Single Leg RDL
- Walking Lunges
- Seated single leg Hamstring Curls
- Standing Calf Raise
- Hip Abd/Add machine if I have enough time
Lower day B:
- Box Squats
- Single Leg hip thrust
- Cable Pull Through (or maybe barbell RDL, not sure)
- Bulgarian Split Squat
- Seated single leg Hamstring Curls (Would do GHR but my gym doesn't have this machine)
- seated Calf Raise
- Hip Abd/Add machine if I have enough time
What do you guys think of this routine? Any improvements I could make or is this looking good to continue with for the next few months?
