Warranty can be used if I bought an apple product from craigslist?

So I bought airpods off a guy from craigslist then I lost the left airpod and I searched up that the airpod still has warranty until the next week but we didn't transfer the product between our account. Can I still bring it to the apple store to use the warranty to replace the lost left airpod?
