Appreciation post: Wip3out's soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal

Decided to turn the lights off, pop on my headphones, shut my eyes and listen to wip3out's music by itself for the first time. all thirteen tracks. i swear, i straight-up went to another plane of existence. when you're just laying there, with a completely clear and quiet mind, music tends to fill that empty space - and the effects it has on your brain are absolutely insane. when "xpander" came on, my soul felt like it was about to leave my body. it was like the best drug trip ever, except of course there were zero drugs involved ;)

and i don't want to start with all the "i was born in the wrong generation" stuff, but it's crazy to think that musicians like the ones on this soundtrack used to be mainstream. it's good to know this type of music still exists, though it doesn't get nearly as much appreciation as it deserves.

so if you haven't yet, try listening to your favorite wipeout soundtrack - or hell, just your favorite music in general - with closed eyes and a clear, relaxed mind. it'll sound very different.

tl;dr - i listened to wip3out's soundtrack; this triggered a transcendental experience
