Indoor green spaces

My fiancé and I were hoping to get married at the greenhouse at Gage Park this fall, but after we got everything arranged for the reception, we found out that our date (October 24) is the final weekend of the Fall Mum Show, and city of Hamilton employees ensure me that they will in no way allow us to have a private event at the greenhouse on that date, even after hours.

I’ve emailed the head of Mac Biology to inquire as to whether or not we could do our intimate civil ceremony at their greenhouse (a favourite of mine) but as it’s a learning space I’m not hopeful.

So, redditHam, where else should we look? I’m hoping for something within Hamilton’s communities, and preferably somewhere with a lot of green. Like I said, it’s ceremony only (a half hour tops) with no decor, furniture, sound amplification, food/drink, etc. And about 15 people on the outside.

Is there some hidden gem I don’t know about?
