Bf [26] replied to my [22] “I miss you” with “I’m hungry”

Am I being too sensitive about this? He didn’t text me all day so I decided to text him that I missed him. He replies “I’m hungry” & asked if I was going to offer him food & if I was going over to his house..

I replied “oh” sadface & I told him I just wanted to text him because I missed him. Next day he didn’t text me at all so again I texted him first at 9pm asking if he was busy. He said no & asked “what’s up” ? I felt like I was bothering him so I told him that he didn’t have to text me & to have a good night.

He said I was being dumb when I explained to him why I felt that I was bothering him since the night before he didn’t text me all day & then replied to my “Imy” with “I’m hungry “ & also didn’t think to txt me the next day.

Am I being too sensitive or is he being an a-hole? Or did he just not want to even text me?
